Crappy Christmas last year, plans for a good one this year?

Last year my fiancee fell ill and we spent Christmas Eve straight thru to New Years Day in the hospital, now she is home but she's bedridden and I dont know whether or not she'll be able to get up or not by Christmas. But I want this Christmas to be special and something to make up for last year's crappy one. Any ideas?
Crappy Christmas last year, plans for a good one this year?
im so sorry I will pray for your fiance and you to have a wonderful christmas this year!!
Reply:Well, do you have kids? If not, and if she is not bedridden, maybe YOU could cook a romantic dinner, with a touch of Christmas. Give her something really nice, like a locket, or a diamond ring. But if you want to go simple, give her a pin. (A really nice one though.) Or if she has a collection, give her something to go with her collection. But also, women love to shop, so maybe a gift card from her favorite store. But if you do have kids, get together and watch something you'll all like. Miracle on 34th Street is a good movie and is a hit with kids. Maybe you could all just sit around, just sit around the Christmas tree, listening to Christmas music and sipping hot choclate. Exchange your gifts the next morning, and have a nice breakfast. (Not some cereal.) But if your wife is still bedridden, wake up early and decorate your room. Give your wife a gift, and serve her breakfast in bed.
Reply:The same thing happened to me last Christmas! But onyl during our Christmas eve Celebrations my granpa had a seizure. This year maybe try taking on christmad lightly. nto too many lpans just staying at home, maybe having a few relatives over. just appreciate the basic things of life. like that she is healthier now.
Reply:The best thing would probably be to have the whole family over your house and make alot of great foods, and you could open present play games and just be with your loved ones.

3 year insurance plan on a computer? can i "drop" it and get a brand new one?

I purchased a sony vaio laptop from circuit city last summer. We also bought the 3 year insurance plan and after one year of college my laptop is definitely used. If I were to "drop" this computer accidentally would it be covered?
3 year insurance plan on a computer? can i "drop" it and get a brand new one?
No, you cannot do that. That would be fraud, and that is illegal. That is if such an accident were covered. I doubt it is covered. Usually only manufacturing defects are covered. Possibly theft would be covered. If it were destroyed by someone with nothing to gain, a real accident, then it might be covered.
Reply:My guess is probably not. That's if the warranty was purchased through Circuit City.

You might have to contact Sony to see if they would help you with the remaining warranty.

Does sprint do one year plans???

does sprint have one year plans or do you have to have a 2 years plan or is there any otha good brands that r only a one year contract i dont wanna sign up for two years
Does sprint do one year plans???
I believe that Sprint does have a 1 year contract plan. Most major carriers offer a 1 year plan. The cost of the plan is the same as a 2 year plan, the only difference is the termination fee and the discount you get on the phones.
Reply:If you go to http://www.sprint.com/index.html you can check out all their plans. Internet was a great invention :)
Reply:if i'm not mistaken, they have 2 yr, plans, because i have a nextel and my contract is 2 yrs.

If i plan to have an career in corporate law, what should i major in when i attend college in one more year?

This just for general purposes if possible and school would also be useful.
If i plan to have an career in corporate law, what should i major in when i attend college in one more year?
Without knowing what schools you're considering, I'd suggest an undergraduate program in Business Administration ~ then take all the law-related courses available. Of course, if you can find the right school, you can begin an appropriate "pre-law" program during your undergraduate years. Research schools and talk with your guidance counselor ~ they're usually pretty knowledgable about this stuff. Finally, if you can, talk with someone in the field, or at least in a lawyer of some kind. They can probably advise you or connect you with someone who can help. Even in high school, you may be able to arrange a mentorship experience with a law firm.
Reply:Ethics
Reply:You sound like a Political Science candidate to me.
Reply:criminal enterprise
Reply:English is a suggested pre-law major. The LSAT--Law School Admissions Test--has much in it that an English major is well equiped for. Also, you could minor in political science or a similar field.

It's also a good idea not to go into what some colleges call a pre-law major, because often times, graduates change their minds about attending law school, and other times, they aren't admitted into law school.
Reply:Pre-law is always good. Or contact the law schools you might go to and ask what they prefer you major in. For some things it doesn't matter, not sure about law.

Can taking Plan B three times in one year (or more) hurt me in the future?

No it shouldn't, but it's extremely high doses of birth control, which can stay in your body for several months like the pill can. Why don't u just get on a regular birth control sweetie? I'm not passing judgment, as we all make mistakes, so SCREW all those other negative answers. You can get the pill for free at Planned Parenthood, or if u don't want to mess with pills u can get on the IUD too. I took PLAN B three times in a year once and I still got pregnant 3 months later. u should be ok, but I wouldn't use PLAN B for a while, the high doses really aren't good for you on a continuous basis.

Take care,

~A
Can taking Plan B three times in one year (or more) hurt me in the future?
There is no report of issues taking it under 5 times in one year, but I would be cautious taking it more than that. It would be better for your body to use condoms or regular birth control. Plan B was never intended to be birth control, it was made as an EMERGENCY conctraceptive.

If you ignore this advice (and the advice of others) it would be important to see your GYN on a regular basis to ensure the Plan B pill isn't causing any side effect.
Reply:I took plan B 2 times when I was alot younger because I wasnt being very smart at all, and I would take to think that this caused and/or contributed to my PCOS and infertility problems right.

be smart and get on birth control or use protection! Plan B is in a way stopping certain hormones in your body that could contribute to periods and pregnancy and can get your body all out of wack!!
Reply:why dont you get on birth control or use condoms or something. plan b isnt supposed to be used as birth control, it is for one time oopsies. i wouldnt take it often like that because it contains hormones and could possibly make your system wacky. Do you really have to have sex that bad without proper protection if you don't want kids?
Reply:You do realize, don't you, that this section is for people trying to conceive, and you are talking about preventing a pregnancy? Some people might take a little offense to it. Your best bet is to go to Planned Parenthood and get some free condoms. Prevent pregnancy that way, instead. Good luck.
Reply:No, but it does say that you need to get yourself some education and better birth control. Plan B is not as effective as regular birth control. I am appalled that you have needed it 3 times.
Reply:well its definitely not a good thing for your body thats for sure Plan B is not meant to be used a contraception its meant to be for one-off accidents
Reply:I don't know about hurting you in the future, but it can't be good.

Be more careful....or stop having sex.
Reply:Your Pre med what do you think ?.... That isn't meant to be used as regular birth control.
Reply:i dont think it'll hurt you in the future but you should be more careful.. :-)

Where can I find a Chronlogical Bible Reading Plan layed out for one year?

I have found several but they are divided into new and old testament in one reading, I want to read the whole thing in order not reading the new testament in order and the old testament in order. Hopefully you understand and know of where I can get a plan..thanks!
Where can I find a Chronlogical Bible Reading Plan layed out for one year?
http://www.backtothebible.org/devotions/...
Reply:There are many ways you can do it.

First, find a translation that is easy to read and understand. I prefer the New Century Version (Translation). Mine had Max Lucado as the editor and it also has devotionals as well as the Scripture. It's an awesome translation!

You can begin with Genesis and read forward...but I preferred to start with Jude (book before Revelation) and worked my way back to Matthew. I loved it. There are so many nuggets that we as Christians need in the epistles. WOW.

Once you've got a good handle on the New Testament, I would suggest reading the Old Testament...and here's why.

The New Testament explains the Old Testament and the symbolism in the Old Testament explains Revelation. They are all tied together. When you've finished with Matthew, begin with the book of Malachi and work your way back, book by book to Genesis...

Before opening your Bible, I would recommend praying every-time. God tells us in the Scriptures if we seek Him earnestly...we will find Him. Knock and the door will open. Ask and yea shall receive.

I know that wasn't exactly the plan you had in mind...but try it before condemning it. It's been a true blessing for me... :o) If you read a chapter or more (what ever your schedule and alone time with God allows...you will be blessed!)
Reply:um...dunno. maybe a christian bookstore

Should Foxy Brown have gotten the Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie, Lindsay Lohan plan, instead of one year?

It is interesting to me that she got one year for violating her probation, yet the others named got only days or hours for violating the terms of their sentences. Why do you think that is???
Should Foxy Brown have gotten the Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie, Lindsay Lohan plan, instead of one year?
yes!i can't believe what they did to her.its crazy that they got away with that and if i was her id go to hollywood and start kicking some coke addicted celebretards asses!!!!
Reply:You raise a great point, good question! I think a year is definitely harsh (especially considering that Nicole served a day), I think all the women you named should have been punished for what they did wrong - but equally!
Reply:What was she on probation for? And people have always been saying that so-called "justice" is not applied equally to everyone in this country. It's not new.
Reply:Foxy Brown got what she deserved, she is in far more trouble than just a violation, she has several other indictments against her in two different states. Granted, Paris and Lindsay got away with their crimes and I would NEVER deny that or defend them, they both should have gotten more than Foxy, but Foxy isn't innocent either...

Any fans of Foxy out there? I found her mailing address at the jail she's in... Write her a letter and tell her you support her!

http://www.writetoinmates.com/337.htm
Reply:on the CNN news reports and stuff they had a a lawer person up there and she said that people with DWI and stuff that were not considered "harmful" to the public were given those short sentences. i dont know much about lindsay lohans trials but those were for the DWI trials. Foxy Brown assaulted her hair or nail stylist or something like that. I would not say the Majority of it has to do with race but the minority of it could. They could Label Foxy Brown as violent and considered "harmful" to the public. And they did let Lil Kim out early.

But i do think they should suspend their license for one year or so.

Pc vs mac i plan purchase new one this year?

when it comes to viruses, spam, and all the things that threaten your computer performance.which would choose. please only answer from personal experience.
Pc vs mac i plan purchase new one this year?
Mac, windows are much more vulnderable to viruses and software on Mac is becoming much more availible. also with mac you can install windows and at start up choose which operating system you would like to use.
Reply:A mac is much safer when it comes to viruses . I have had both Macs and PC's. I stuck with the mac, performance is as good as if not better than PC. The downside to owning a mac is the availablity of computer games. There is so much more for a PC. However if you have a separate game player (Xbox or Playstation) and do not play too many on your computer, a mac is (to me) the best choice for a home computer. The new Windows 'vista" software is really no more than a Mac OSX wannabe, copying most of the mac OS features (and not doing a very good job of it). Hope this helps, and yes I am biased.
Reply:The mac. I have a mac and it's amazing! We've had it for two years and it still runs great, with a quick turning on and turning off, fast internet, not to mention lots of stuff on it! Viruses and spam don't exist with a mac that's for sure. Try going to www.apple.com and watch some of the funny commercials for comparisons on pc and macs. You'll find there are many downfalls with a pc. I've had both and pc just aren't good.

Oh and it's really easy to use! Once you buy it, set up is quick and easy.
Reply:There is really no contest - it's MAC all the way!! Once you go MAC, you NEVER go back! I didn't - I wouldn't take a PC if someone gave it to me for free! MAC is the BEST!! It goes WAY beyond the virus stuff. It's just so much easier to use. So many less steps to get something done. I don't know how anyone uses a PC anymore - just go into an Apple store and play with the equipment. You'll see!
Reply:To put it very easy.

With macs running intel chips now is there anything a mac can't do that a PC can? The ability to install windows on the mac takes cares of any issues)

Except if your a gamer stick with PC because there are more games for PC at this moment then macs.
Reply:I have a pc and a mac. I use the mac for most of my internet stuff because there are no viruses for macs. Spam is up to you mainly not your machine. I prefer mac but use the pc for some games and work stuff.
Reply:Mac beats PC by far. Though it costs loads.
Reply:PC using windows vista
Reply:If you're into computer games, or expert computer user, I recommend PC.

But if you're concerned about viruses, or don't play a lot of the newest video games... Mac is a lot safer.

What government organization determines the "one exchange per year" in the 529 college savings plan?

The Federal Government writes laws that dictates how you pay taxes. When congress created the 529 college savings plan all they did was create the tax code around it.

They stated that multiple exchanges would be taxed. One exchange would not.

Whats a good meal plan for a one year old?
My girl is one. She has tried everything that i eat. Her favourites are Tomatoes on toast, pasta with a sauce, sausages and chips(occasionally) Corned beef ash with yorkshire puddings and Meatballs and rice. She also likes a lot of other things(mango, strawberries, plums, cucumber) I let her try anything, even spicy foods which she loves, and she does have chocolate and sweets but only a few times a week. She even refuses these sometimes.
Reply:Anything healthy and no sweets!! I too have a 1 yr old breakfast she loves oatmeal or cereal with or without a fruit w/ whole milk. Then for lunch she loves cut up lunch meat ham or turkey w/ string cheese cocktail mixed fruits. veggies and chocolate milk then surgar free Jello. Last dinner she loves ramen w/ eggs and mixed veggies or ravioli w/ whole milk. In between meals she snacks on cheereo's, chex, dried fruits, and every thing else. Its up to you what you want to feed your child. It doesnt matter what the Dr. says I fed my 11 yr old this way too and he's just fine and dandy. HAVE FUN!!

1 Ripe Mango

Peel, Deseed and Mash Mango until smooth

Add formula/breast milk or water to thin or add cereal (if desired) to thicken up.

Apples (Applesauce)

Vitamins: A, C, Folate

Minerals: Potassium, Magnesium, Calcium

This recipe is written so that you may use any amount of apples you wish!

1. Peel, core and cut apple into slices/chunks

2. Place slices or chunks into a pan with just enough water to slightly cover apples

3. Boil/steam until tender; be sure to check on the water level and stir. 4. Apples may be mashed with a potato masher to achieve a smooth applesauce consistency. If your masher will not achieve a puree type of consistency, then follow steps 5 鈥?7

5. Reserve any left over water to use for thinning out the apples

6. Place into your choice of appliance for pureeing and begin pureeing.

7. Add the reserved water as necessary to achieve a smooth, thin puree

8. Add cereal (if desired) to thicken up the

9. Ask your pediatrician about adding some cinnamon for new tastes!

HINT! You may also buy an "Adult" jar of Natural applesauce from your local grocers! Make sure you buy Natural Applesauce however! Read the labels if you are unsure. The only ingredients should be apples and water or just apples! A few companies may add ascorbic acid (vitamin C) or citric acid to their Natural Applesauce; this is fine!

Why do you suggest peeling fruits and veggies; Nutrients are found in the peels right?

Salt and sugar are never needed when making baby food. Omit these items, preferably at ALL times, in your baby's meals! Other spices such as cinnamon, garlic powder, pepper etc. may be introduced as early as 7 months with your pediatricians consult.

Rice Cereal

1/4 c. rice powder (brown rice ground in blender or food processor)

1 cup water

1. Bring liquid to boil in saucepan. Add the rice powder while stirring constantly.

3. Simmer for 10 minutes, whisking constantly, mix in formula or breast milk and fruits if desired

3. Serve warm.
Reply:I just found a website that has a meal planner on it, www.organix.com. Thats if you have time to stick to it!
Reply:normally its anything that you can get them to eat! so long as they get plenty of fruit and veg you shouldnt worry. my daughter of 19 months eats nothing but fruit half the time!

One Year Old: Eating Plan?

My daughter will be a year old tomorrow. She is now completely weaned off of formula and is on whole milk. Her WIC nurse says that now she is consuming too much dairy. She really loves cheese, so I guess in combination with her milk consumption, she is getting too much dairy. Anyways, can someone tell me where to find meal plans for a 1 year old or tell me what your child (at a year old) normally eats throughout the day, including milk. My daughter eats like this:

Morning: 6 oz. of whole milk, cereal, or oatmeal, or toast, or pancakes, very rarely eggs

Lunch: 6 oz. of whole milk, usually whatever we have that seems like a meal

4 PM: 6 oz. of whole milk, piece of cheese, tortilla shell, or graham crackers or animal crackers

Dinner: whatever we're having

8-9 PM: 6 oz. whole milk

Apparently, she's only supposed to have 3 servings of dairy, so with her milk and other possible dairy (ie: cheese, etc.) she's getting roughly 6 servings a day which is too much...........
One Year Old: Eating Plan?
Once on cows milk, limit it to two or three glasses (times) per day, offer water the rest of the time. Water should be the main drink offered to her now, with milk or occasionally watered down juice as extras. You could try toddler formula too, but also limit to two glasses daily. Any more than that and she will store the fat in her body.

Introduce some yoghurt as well. Natural yoghurt with fresh fruit on the side for dipping is great.

If you can't go shopping more than once per month, buy frozen packets of vegetables (peas carrots etc) so she has at least one serve every day. Pumpkins last well, make pumpkin soup and freeze it.

Buy jars of stewed apple (apple sauce) or make your own and store them in the fridge until needed. Also offer tin fruit salad and tin peaches, apricots and pears. CHildren must have fruit and vegetables at this age, every day. Include fruit in muffins and cupcakes, or make banana pancakes. You could also freeze them for later in the month, when you have run out of fresh fruit. You can also freeze stewed apple. Try her on some dried apricots, dates and prunes, as well as sultanas.

If money is limited, try her on porridge made with milk for breakfast. Porridge or oats are cheap and nutritious. Add some honey and cinnamon for flavour and you have a cheap but healthy breakfast.

I offer my children yoghurt every day, with cheese and two to three serves of milk. They are all healthy, active and slim. Calcium gets stored in the body, which is a good thing. But too much milk to drink would cause her to fill up and not eat enough food.

A typical day in our house would include:

Breakfast: toast / jam or cereal or oats with milk. Milk drink. Fruit.

Morning tea: water, fruit platter incl. cheese or fruit muffin or banana pikelets or yoghurt or stewed fruit or rice/corn crackers

Lunch: either cooked or sandwich, toddler formula.

Afternoon tea: muesli bar or fruit or custard or yoghurt. Ice cream if hot. Water

Dinner: whatever we are having, usually cooked main meal. Water

Milk or toddler formula before bed.

Edit:

To 'mystic eye...'. if you breastfeed your 1 yr old and offer him less than 25% of solids, you are starving your son!! This is definitely NOT recommended for a 1 yr old!! This is insane!! A 1 yr old needs a regular, full diet with breastfeeding as support, not the main diet.
Reply:My son is going to be 1 on the 29th of this month. Wow! Were does the time go. Well, to answer your question. I think you need to talk to your baby's pediatrician about her diet.
Reply:my daughter ate simular to your child except she had 2 (8oz) bottles in place of your six ounce bottle. and she is not over weight or anything she is 5 now and is in a size 5
Reply:when my son was 1yr old he ate things like macaroni %26amp; cheese with a hotdog, rice, chicken noodle soup, he loves spaghetti.. which the sauce provides 1 whole serving of vegetables, cheerios, and applesauce is a great way for your daughter to get some fruits in, as well as Gerber toddler food products, like fruit %26amp; veggie puffs, or Gerber fruit snacks, dried fruits like banana %26amp; strawberry, and veggie crackers... and another good thing is that they aren't very expensive either!
Reply:My son is 13 months. We give him a cup of water throughout the day. Occassionally he will have watered down juice and he gets one cup of milk during the day and one at night. He eats Cream of Wheat for breakfast or cheerios and fruit, sometimes eggs and toast or yogurt or oatmeal. He will have a hot dog, grilled cheese sandwich, soup etc for lunch. He usually gets a snack of some fruit or veggies to munch on later in the day. Dinner is whatever we are having - he loves spaghetti with sauce, broccoli, fish sticks, beef roast, turkey breast, chicken, carrots - he is a good eater.

I would just back off on the milk, offer more water and try to balance your shopping a bit more. I know it is tough when you are relying on a Link card or WIC but you can still shop weekly for fresh items like veggies and fruit. You can always opt for frozen veggies and fruit. How about starting a garden of your own for some of those items or checking for a local food bank? I've included a link for Second Harvest. You can check that website to see if there is a food bank in your area. I would also suggest asking for more information at your WIC office and also calling your local congressman or senator to ask for assistance in finding some other food sources.
Reply:canned fruits are fine. Im not sure if they all come with no sugar but they do have the "light" ones with less sugar and do not give her the syrup that comes in the peaches. You can get canned veggies without salt. also look at the frozen ones b/c they usually have less salt, sugar etc. Just cut them up or you can put the greens in a blender. You can put yogurt and fruit in the blender and make smoothies. its really good and healthy.
Reply:FROZEN fruit and veggies, if you can't have fresh. Freeze your own if they are on sale. You just need to lightly blanch them, place them on a cookie sheet and freeze.

However, there is no reason you have to do your shopping all at once. You need to learn to budget. That is insane. WIC coupons don't have to be used immediately.

I would strongly advise that you ask WIC and CPS if they offer nutritional classes because somehow I doubt it is just your daughter who is eating poorly.

I can't really advise you as to how much your daughter should be eating, as I breastfeed my son and he gets less than 25% of his calories from other foods, as is recommended.

I am a year one teacher, i need to plan some dance lessons keeping to a light and dark theme?

We use cross curricular themes and try to use them across all of our foundation subjects

Is there any teachersa out there who could give me some ideas?

Thank you
I am a year one teacher, i need to plan some dance lessons keeping to a light and dark theme?
How about daytime and nighttime? Get the children to think about what they do during the day- get dressed, eat, go to school, play etc and what they do at night- go to bed, fireworks, trick or treating, sleepover etc.

Then get the children to mime the activities by themselves, then in small groups. Set it to music, some nice, soft classical style which won't get them too hyper! "Free expressive movement" is good with the little ones, they shouldn't feel like they have to do anything specific or set at first, just respond to the music until they get comfortable with it. Then you could start collating their ideas into a class dance. Good luck!

What is a good, healthy meal plan for one day for a petite 15 year old that's vegetarian?
Hi. My sister is a Vegetarian and she plays volleyball and soccer for the school. I don't know to much about a typical healthy diet for vegetarians but I always see her eat so healthy.

Be sure to eat plenty of Fruits, Veggies, Nut and Legumes(beans).

When it comes to eating Fruit don't go overboard otherwise you could end up with much sugar in your body as if you were eating a candy bar. Veggies are endless. The possibilities are endless. Just don't limit yourself to a salad everyday. You could make like a veggie platter for dinner. You don't have to follow this. You make your own routine. This is a typical day for my sister

Breakfast:

Multi-Grain Cheerios w/ Soy Vanilla Milk

Fresh Fruit

OJ

Lunch:

Fresh Garden Salad or

Vegetarian Chicken Sandwich or Burger

(you can buy those Boca or Morning Star Farms at the store)

Dinner:

Pasta Primavara(Pasta, veggies such as carrots, broccoli)

You don't have to follow this. But just keep it simple. Things like Fruits, Veggies, plenty of water and be sure to talk a multivitamin.

Good music and a picnic at a cool place watching the sunset and talking,or at any place that is special to the both of you. With most girls I think just being with the one you love is way more important than what you are doing and the fact that you remember the date and planned something special will go a long way.

What should gift should I buy or plan my husband for our one year wedding anniversay?
This will cost $2, but hours of time!

Here's something creative that will be appreciated and you will have fun doing:

Make up a crossword puzzle and have all the hints be personal inside moments and jokes that only you two would know about. Put it on a poster board and add some clipart and some pictures to it!

The crossword puzzle could be time consuming and a bit frustrating ... you could do the same idea with a WORDSEARCH or WORDFIND puzzle.

Put your computer skills to work! Use Excel, get clipart from Yahoo Images Search, copy them, and reformat them, use a gluestick to put on posterboard.

Use graph paper, and pictures from magazines if you are not as good on the computer, and it will give it a homemade feeling.

He's the man you love, yet you can't come up with anything to give him. Doesn't make sense. The same is true for husbands who ask this question. You sleep with a woman every night and you claim to love her, but you don't what you want her to have. Makes no sense.

How is you asking us this question going to help us think about our future? I'm sure it is something we all do on a regular basis.

five years from now its hard to tell what i will be doing

My husband and I are having a vow renewal ceremony for our one year anniversary can I plan it like a wedding?

i dont want to have all the pre marital parties
My husband and I are having a vow renewal ceremony for our one year anniversary can I plan it like a wedding?
No, please no "do over's" - you had your wedding. Sorry if you did not have it all the way you wanted it, but you don't get to do it again. Your friends and family do NOT want to deal with it again, either. It is not sweet, it's selfish.
Reply:ONE YEAR RENEWAL.............never heard of that. People already gave up one day of their life for you and you're going to ask them to do it AGAIN in just ONE YEARS TIME?!?!?!

Have an anniversary party or go to a beach, just the two of you and renew your vows to one another, telling each other how your love has grown and changed.

ONE year renewal is really rushing that renewal thing.
Reply:I'm probably going to get a ton of thumbs down, but I don't believe in vow renewals. Not at 1 yr, not at 5 yrs, not at 10 yrs, not at 25 yrs.

I feel when we got married, our vows were meant to last a life time. I feel the minister did a good job the first time around.

I've been married 31 yrs, and I love my husband more than the day I married him, and I'm sure he feels the same way. I just can't see the importance of having renewal vows.

Also. And I don't mean to be rude, but a 1 yr anniversary, is just that. It's 1 little year. After 30, 40, 50 years, I think you have bragging rights. Sorry, just my opinion
Reply:Typically the etiquette for the first renewal of vows is to celebrate at the 5, 10 or 15 year mark. After only one year of marriage, that's a bit too soon.
Reply:You can, but that's really kind of silly. People I know who renew their wedding vows do so on a major anniversary--sorry, the first doesn't count. I'm talking 10th, 15th, 20th, etc. Generally one of those anniversaries where the year is divisible by either 5 or 10. Doing it for your first anniversary looks like a few things--you're childish and didn't get it out of your system a year ago; your selfish and think that every day is all about you; your marriage is already on the rocks, and this is your way of proving to the world that it isn't; and you want more gifts.

Don't get me wrong, I think renewing your vows is a great thing, and I see nothing wrong with doing it for your anniversary--just don't have all the big "wedding" hoopla, it's just too soon after your wedding. Do it with just you and your husband--that's appropriate.

Happy anniversary and congrats.
Reply:Duh, you are already married! No, a vow renewal is NOT another wedding - it's simply having a blessing or ceremony done, followed by a dinner if you like and a bit of an anniversary party.

A year is WAY too soon to have this done. Traditionally it is done at the 25th, though more recently people have been doing the renewal of vows at 10 as well.
Reply:I guess you can, but why would you want to? You just had a wedding last year. If you feel the need to renew your vows I would suggest to do it in a small intimate setting and not plan a big party.

Why not wait until your 10 year anniversary and have a big party to celebrate.
Reply:If you have a renewal ceremony when your vows aren't old yet, people are going to think your are fishing for presents. I sure do. If you want to invite a bunch of people over for BBQ or cocktails or something, do it -- but don't mention that it's your anniversary until you make the announcement about an hour into the party. That way it is clear that the celebration is about showing your friends a good time and not about shaking them down for yet another gift.
Reply:Hi there, don't listen to these nay-sayers. Do whatever makes you happy and if its having a one year renewal ceremony then go for it. I say plan it like a wedding, you can now do everything you wished you did for the original ceremony:) I think this is a great idea because there are people that hit this immediate low after getting married because there was so much build up for the wedding.

Also, I bet you all these people on here would have another ceremony if they could:) You're a trend setter have a blast and congrats!!
Reply:Hi and congratulations on 1 year of marriage!

I must agree with the others....one year is too soon. And, according to wedding etiquette, (and contrary to what others have said on this forum)....even when you DO renew your vows....it's NOT a second wedding. There are etiquette rules to follow. I know most people don't care...but really, it's only proper to do things right. I hear of these people being married 10, 20, 30 years and they want it all over again with the big white dress and veil??? That seems silly to me. You CAN RENEW vows....nothing wrong with that and I did it myself on our 25th....but I didn't get dressed up in a wedding gown and a veil!!

Good luck and may you have many more years of happiness!
Reply:well typically its been done around the 10 yr mark BUT you can renew your vows anytime, NOT just on a certain yearly mark. from what i learned in school, never let someone take away your dream..good luck and dont let anyone say its not right to renew your wedding vows on the 1st, ive seen it done.
Reply:One year is too soon for a vow renewal, which are silly anyway. As far as "people do it all the time" , I don't know anyone who had any huge party, let alone a faux wedding, on a one year anniversary.

And it is not "bull" to think a marriage is in trouble if a couple is doing a vow renewal. Speaking of 'bull', it is a 'red flag'! Aren't I clever?

And anyone being impressed that someone made it to a year of marriage!! Really, I am going to be astonished that a couple is still in love and commited after a whole year of marriage??? She's still shaving her legs!!! They are still changing the sheets twice a week!!

I've been married 14 years. Sometimes, I am impressed that I made it that far.
Reply:There is a alot of confusion about what is a second wedding ceremony and what is a renewal of vows.

There are NO premarital parties for either a second wedding ceremony or a renewal of vows. You do not register for gifts and you should not expect a "shower."

Second wedding ceremonies can be defined as "having the ceremony and party (reception) that you never had." Many couples have a second wedding ceremony because they got married the first time at a court house or by a Justice of the Peace or secretly and now they want something more meaningful and grander. The Bride wears a gown and the groom wears a dark suit or a tuxedo . . and sometimes they have a wedding party (flower girl, bridesmaid, best man, etc). The Bride and Groom send out printed invitations, they have a three course sit-down dinner, order a wedding cake, and hire a disc jockey. Like I said previously, it's the party they never had, and they want to celebrate with their friends.

A renewal of vows celebrates the husband and wife and their love for each other "during their years of marriage." Yes, they may get "all dressed up" but it does not entail a wedding gown or a flower girl dropping petals. Yes, they may invite their friends to a three course sit-down dinner but the mood is different and the decorations are less ornate. Yes, they may hire a DJ but the event is simpler and the guests act more mature.

Reply:Yes you can, there are couples that renew their vows every year. This is a very personal choice between the two of you. I have had solders who were gone over six months of their first year of marriage renew their vows. Some love the idea of renewal for their anniversaries. Can you expect gifts? No not really, and they should not be asked for. Your renewal of vows would be a celebration of your past year together, looking forward to the coming year.

Planing it like a wedding......that will depend on what you plan to due in your ceremony. I have done the renewal just as the first wedding. I have also done a very warm hearted ceremony with close friends and family. Both had parties after wards. Best wishes, Chaplain Debby
Reply:Ummmmm. One year!?!?! No matter what the circumstances were surrounding your first wedding, a wedding like renewal after one year of marriage is not appropriate. Wait until 10 years or 25 years. Celebrating 1 year of marriage looks kind of sad. . . .like you didn't think you'd make it would last that long so you need to celebrate.
Reply:No. You HAD your wedding only a year ago! Doesn't this strike you as a bit overkill for your first anniversary?

If friends of mine ever did this, I'd be wondering if they were on the verge of divorce! It always seems like the people who renew their wedding vows are always the couples with the rockiest marriages.
Reply:Yeah, you can plan it as a wedding. People do it all the time. It's very common for people who get married by a justice of the peace to later decide they want to have a ceremony in a church. You can have the reception and the cake and everything just the same as a real wedding. The only really different thing is going to be the vows and the way the priest or judge performs the ceremony. Instead of something like "We're here to join these two in marriage" it will be more like "We are here to celebrate the union of these 2 people and renew their vows."
Reply:Most people renew their vows between their fifth or tenth anniversary, or later than that. But, don't take me wrong, I'm not criticizing, just an observation.

What that person said about people renewing their vows when a marriage is rocky or at the verge of divorce, is pure Bull Sh*t. I think it's sweet that you want to let the world know that your marriage is still strong, and that you feel the same way about each other since the day you said "I Do".

I don't see why you shouldn't be able to plan it as a wedding, of course there would be a few changes that would need to be done, but go right ahead, vow renewals are like a second wedding, and most people plan the whole event just like their first wedding, dress, party, limo, and all the good stuff.

My sister-in-law is planning her tenth year anniversary, and she will have a vow renewal, and she is going to make the whole wedding again, this time her daughters will be walking with her, which will make it very special. When she got married the first time, she got married only in court, so now she wants to make a church wedding.

CONGRATULATIONS!! Don't let anyone kill your joy, or make you feel like this is not appropriate. Renew your vows as many times as you want, that shows that your commitment for the your spouse is still the same.

Have fun planning!!!!

How should I plan a date for my girlfriend on our one year anniversary next month?

She enjoys going to dinner %26amp; a movie, but that seems to be what most of our dates consist of. I'm looking to make this more special. We live in the East Cleveland area, and any ideas for romantic places to go in that area would be great!

We haven't spent much time together over the past 6 weeks since I've been away at school, if that helps anyone with possibilities.

Please keep ideas on the cheaper side (under $150), I'm a college student- not a lottery winner ;-)

2. If there's a beach take her for a picnic and moon light walk along the beach

You should consult a Certified Financial Planner who specializes in these types of things. You may want to start with a CFP from MetLife. I have had very good success with them in the past. They seem to know what they are talking about and will treat you well.

Here you can check out different plans from each state along with reviews of said plans. Keep in mind, that they all fall into 2 categories- prepay vs invest. The invest type will have expenses (they are mutual funds). You either pay upfront, or, you may, pay to get out. Either way, you pay (via reduction of the fund performance), operating expenses. Depending on the market and your specific investment, you could end up with a huge pile of $ for higher education.

The prepay is exactly what is sounds like, no huge run-up in your balance, just tuition guaranteed.

Which is the best, only you can tell. The investment 529 plans are all sold by registered reps. They get a cut of what you invest. They then obviously have a vested interest in you buying from them. Not that this is bad - they are providing a service and their giving advice. Make sure you can trust the person you buy from.

Do you live in a state that has income tax? If so, look for a plan (probably the one from your state) that lets you take a tax deduction on your state filing.

Good luck!

HE BETTER HOPE NOT BECAUSE HE'S NOT GETTING ANY YOUNGER. RETOOL WOULD BE MORE LIKE IT BUT I BELIEVE HE WON'T BE NUMBER ONE NO MATTER WHAT!
Reply:He's ontrack right now to becomeing the comeback player of the year. As far as Number One that will take a little longer.

Reply:If he's in year three of his plan he's got a serious problem. Tiger is so far ahead in the Official World Rankings he can take two years off and still be no. 1. Ernie has been in the top ten of the Official World Rankings longer than anyone, 670 weeks, but I don't think he will reach no. 1 again. His family and business interests simply draw him away from that goal.

I got my first 2 tattoos on my 18th birthday in June.

I got writing wrapping around both wrists.

In the new year, I'll be getting swallows and stars on my chest.

And stars on my rib cage.

=)
Reply:I got two, I got a swallow on my left side the day before my birthday in march and I got my wrist done, symbols meaning love and power, in september.

I would love to get a half sleeve next year, but I'm going to wait until I start managing my first band to do that, but that should hopefully happen by then hahaha. I would also love to get something on my right side, I feel all uneven.
Reply:This year I got two tattoos. Well, technically three.

Two interlocked star (one red and one black) outlines on my right shoulder blade.

Two sparrows, both are on on my chest, one on each side (the right and left). Both are closer to my shoulders than my actual chest. Both of them have orange, yellow, teal, and magenta, and shades of black and white. One has a body base of teal and the other has a body base of magenta. They represent my two daughters.

Next year, I want to get a tree on my back, to cover most of my lower to middle back. This will be covering a dragon I got with an ex husband, years ago. It's time for a rebirth and I think a tree is a perfect symbol of that and lifes lessons.

Reply:You know really, it doesnt matter that much about having the perfect meal plans because if you spend all the time and money on it, they will most likly not like the things you give them.. kids that age are generaly picky..

My daughter just turned two but she used to eat fish sticks and healthy chicken nuggets or borritos or peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.. and lots and lots of veggies and fruits. those are pretty easy foods.. also if they dont like things you give them (like the fish sticks) try putting a few drops of ketchup on each bite and they will be sure to eat them then!! Good luck!!

Is there a cell phone plan that only has a one year agreement?

I live in Michigan and I would need a cell phone service provider that carries service throughout Michigan.
Is there a cell phone plan that only has a one year agreement?
if you ask them, there usually all have one....they rather offer you a 1 year contract...then losing you as a customer...I ask...and I got it! but the told me not to spread the news!!! (Cingular)
Reply:look into Virgin Mobile. you can get a phone cheap, it uses the Sprint network, and there are various payment plans, none of which require a contract. I pay $6.99 per month and then $.10 per minute. Even if I talk 300 minutes in a month, the $37 is cheaper than the other plans after you add in the tax.

I ordered my phones and service from here and they work great!

Hope this helps!

Reply:You can go to any cell phone provider and asked. That what I did with Cingular. You might have to pay a little extra for the phone in a 1 year contract then the 2 year. With the two year contract, the phone is cheaper. Good luck in getting a phone.

In US, any mobile company still have one year contract plan?

Most do, I think...But they'll charge you quite a bit more for the phone and activation.
In US, any mobile company still have one year contract plan?
cingular, or a go phone
Reply:Yes. They pretty much all over one year options;however, there are some differances. With both Verizon and Cingular going for a one year will only cost you an exta 50- 100 dollars for your phone. All the plans you have on a two year will be availbale on a one.

On Sprint it will cost 100-150 more. Almost all of the plans are not elgible for one year contracts.
Reply:they do, you just have to ask, you'd be better off getting the 2-year contract anyway, you'll get a better phone for less money,
Reply:They all offer a one year contract. They don't mention it unless you request information about one year contracts. The reason, you ask? It's simply cost savings. They say it costs anywhere from 100 - 250 for every subscriber that they add to their subscriber base.
Reply:Yes, just ask your carrier.

Many also provide "pay as you go" plans or prepaid plans.

See your local retailer or carrier website for full details.
Reply:sprint does but you have to ask for it.

I have one year left on my sprint plan if i get a new phone now will it restart the plan time?

My mom's phone was stolen so she had to replace it so that put our plan back to a 2 year one, i will pay full price but i will not stay with the service after the contract is up so will my phone be able to work with other carriers or should i just wait another year to get a new one?

just wait another year. it will prolly be easier in the long run.

What college savings plan is the best for my one-year-old?

I heard there are two different types, and one type is better. It has something to do with taxes. Obviously, I want my money to accumulate the fastest with the most freedom for my baby boy. I live in Illinois.
What college savings plan is the best for my one-year-old?
Another option is an ESA - education savings account also called the education IRA. There are income limits (I believe you have to make less than $110,000 single or 220 jointly) and you can only put in $2,000 per tax year per child. It's supposed to have a low impact on financial aid b/c the account remains an asset of the parent. If you make too much money the 529 is a great option as well. I don't know as much about that since we're doing an ESA for our daughter. But some people also do both.

https://www.brightstartsavings.com/
Reply:College Illinois might be a good option because it'll lock in today's tuition rates. The benefits are good at most schools in the U.S.

http://www.collegeillinois.com/en/
Reply:I personally am not a fan of any of the college savings plans. None of them are very flexible. Do you have an IRA? I have a ROTH that I fund toward retirement and I also plan to use it for my children's education. The funds can be withdrawn for such purposes as education for children or to buy a house without penalty. In my opinion, this is the best route to go in most cases. That way, if you kids don't go to college (God forbid), you still have the money in the account for retirement. Many of the college savings plans you are thinking about will penalize you if the money is not used for college. What will you do then if you kids choose not to go to school?
Reply:Some of the other post are correct, you'll want to get a 529 plan. You will get tax credits for doing this too. Thats great you are thinking of your childs education so early. Best of luck and happy holidays
Reply:Non, if you really take a good look you will find that the tax advantage is not there unless the grandparents pay for it. Your child will be penalized via tax and loss of loans, grands etc. You are better off to put extra funds in your own Roth IRA or max out your own retirement contribution. Do your homework, most institution will not tell you that the tax benefits stop around 2010 I believe. For young children as you own they don't make sense.
Reply:US savings bonds, series E,,, You can use them for anything penalty free. If you use it for college expenses the interest is tax free. They are also guaranteed. They dont pay a ton of interest but for a 1 year old you dont need alot if you start now. Doing the college tuition payments now may screw you if your kid doesnt go to college.
Reply:There is one with more freedom to take money out, but it is taxable. The one with less freedom to take money out when you need is not taxed, I believe.

And through the mathematical power of compounding, the non tax-able accumulates faster.
Reply:A state-run 529 plan is your best option. Tax free when used for college or tech schools, you can pick from a number of different avenues to invest. In Ohio, we have Vanguard and Putnam to pick from and the fees are dirt cheap. Especially Vanguard. I'm sure Ill. has 529's available. And you can set the plan up yourself, it's not hard at all.

Also, my wife and I have charge cards from Barclay's Bank called Futuretrust where the "rewards" go right into 529's!! Look 'em up, you will be glad you did.

A complete horse health care plan for one year?

i was wondering if anyone cold help me with a health plan for one year for my horse? he is 7 yrs old and 1400 lbs. he is barefoot and staying that way. i need vet checks, immunizations, farrier, and anything else i might need to do. thanks ya'll!!
A complete horse health care plan for one year?
here we do vaccinations 2x a year, dentist comes 1x a year, farrier every 6-8 weeks and a vet once a year unless an emergency occurs.

Reply:Well, you'll need your farrier every 6 weeks, dentist twice a year, vaccines depend on country - I live in the UK and vaccinate annually against flu and every other year against tetanus. As a matter of course, the "back man" checks my horses backs, polls etc. twice a year, and the vet checks them once (and of course any time they are injured/ill). You'll need to worm in accordance with the rest of your yard in order for it to be most effective - speak to your yard manager about this.
Reply:this is what I do with mine..

-hoof trim every 6 weeks

-when the farrier comes out I worm them.(every 6 weeks) switch off between types your vet will have a schedule for your area (don't use the same one over and over)

-vet in spring and fall. teeth floating in spring to get ready for the riding weather and grass, also sheath or udder cleaning in warm spring. Your vet can tell you what shots to get for your area.

-ride and have fun!

hello guys! right now im really inspired to have a one year plan for my bf before he leaves for the USA, i want to make him happy everyday and everytime we spend a day together, i know we still have a lot of things to catch on each other and too bad im not as creative like anybodyelse.. i want to give him little and big surprises, and im open for your suggestions on what to do.. how will i make this memorable for him? that everytime he will remember the time we spent together will put a smile on his face? pls help me?? im not good at this heehee!:) thanks! P.S... i cant afford a cruise tour lolzzzzz!:)
One year plan for my BF?
It's nice that you want to treat him good.. but do you know what promotes the best relationship? When you give equal concentration to advancing yourself.... mentally, physically, intellectually, etc. A guy will appreciate a well rounded, confident, "got it going on" woman more than any other gift she can give him.

Aside from that:

a surprise picnic in an unusual place,

a slumber party (depending on your age) complete with smores, flashlights, etc.

tickets to his favorite sports game to use with a guy friend (not you).

notes tucked in places that he'll find later.

a photo album complete with pics and notes and memorabilia saved throughout the year (that he can take with him). Work on this throughout the year.
Reply:have a party for just the 2 of you, prepare all his favourite meals, put on his favourite music and wear his favourite colour, be thoughtful and he'll remember it always!

6 am - sippy cup of stage 2 formula (will soon just be milk)

(nap) wake up 9:30 am

10 am- breakfast (1/4 cup of rice/oatmeal cereal mixed with 1 tub of fruit) on the weekends and some weekdays she gets scrambled eggs, pancakes, fresh fruit stuff like that

10:30 am - 1/5 sippy cup of 100% juice, 4/5 sippy cup of water

12:30- lunch usually bologna and cheese sandwhich (1/2), and fruit.

1:30 pm- sippy cup of milk

(nap time) wake up at 4:30 pm

5:30 pm- dinner, whatever we are eating

8:30 pm- sippy cup of stage 2 formula

She also gets refills of her sippy cup all day with water in it.

I do not believe in drinking with meals.. so I won't teach my children to drink with their meals, so our daughter does not get fluids while eating. Just a personal preference... when she is done, she gets her juice or milk. She doesnt get any snacks at this stage.. she doesnt need them. I give her "puffs" and "crackers" while preparing her food. Some nights we give her a graham cracker but not on any routine with that.

-9:30 breakfast: 4oz milk %26amp; cereal, 1/2 piece of fruit or whole 3rd stage fruit

-snack %26amp; water (sometimes splashed with 100% juice)

-Noon(ish) lunch: his size portion of whatever my aunt is having (she watches him during the day), approx 1/4 cup veggies, milk in sippy cup

-snack again

-4:30 dinner: same as lunch (she'll give him a gerber graduates meal if her food isn't appropriate)

-Another snack while we eat dinner if he wants it, which he usually does. This is whatever we're eating or cheerios/shredded cheddar cheese if our food isn't appropriate.

-8oz bottle of whole milk then bed around 8:30/9pm

He's about 30lbs, happy %26amp; healthy. He not picky with foods and 'junk' foods are limited to just a taste 3-4 times a week.

I need a menu plan for my one year old?

I am raising her as a vegetarian and would like some healthy but yummy meal ideas for her. She eats one scrambled egg in the morning with whole wheat toast %26amp; fruit every morning, but for lunches %26amp; dinners I need some ideas. I cannot give her what I am eating as I am on a crash only veggie diet. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.
I need a menu plan for my one year old?
In case you're not already aware, people will somehow think that you are asking them for their opinion on vegetarianism and raising a child to be veggie, which of course you're not. Having said that, I also have a one year old and I'm vegetarian, but I do give her fish and free-range organic chicken a couple of times a week, because I find it difficult, impractical and expensive to substitute things with a vegetarian alternative, but this is entirely up to YOU. I also see vegetarianism as a choice- she can decide if she wants to be veggie when she's older, but as I said, that's only my opinion.

It's essential that you include things like tofu, lentils, lots of iron-rich foods like green veg, apricots, chick peas...you need plenty of omega oils

I like to make mine a veggie stew including things like red lentils, chopped spinach, etc.

Also I stir in lots of hummus to her meals as it's really good for you (she regularly stinks of garlic!)

Brown rice and broccoli with grated cheese,

jacket potato with spinach and cheese,

It's a lot easier of course if your child is a good eater and not too fussy!
Reply:Yes, start eating properly yourself instead of teaching your daughter that crash dieting is what people do.

Sorry to be blunt, but your daughter simply will not grow up with the sort of diet you force her to have. She'll grow up with the sort of diet she sees around her. I recommend you figure out some healthy meals for the whole family, yourself included. Crash only veggie diets are thoroughly bad for you.
Reply:I don't think you should make her a vegetarian at that age . My daughters friend is a vegetarian and when she came to our house she said that when people have cake at school ( birthday party ) she cannot eat them because there's egg in there , so she will be waiting for something to happen . She will need many nutrients and stuff like that so i suggest you let her eat some meat .

HERE'S A MENU 4 UR DAUGHTER :

Sandwiches with egg and vegetables

Tofu ( soft jelly-like ones )

Raisins mixed with cornflakes and milk and honey

Vegetarian fish with rice

Veggie muffins with peas and corn. Stir fry with singapore noodles. Use your imagination. Hope it helps
Reply:Maybe just sticks of cucumber and carrot with houmous dip, vegetable soups are great. risotto (mushroom or pea) as they can pick it up and eat it themselves

bananas and grapes are good and mini raisins for snacks

By the way how can you eat eggs, but no chicken? veggies are wierd. "No i dont want chicken but i will eat their babies?"

just give in and give her chips(fries) . . its what you will do eventually anyway :D

Is there an ATT one year plan?

do the phone prices still get reduced like with the two year?
Is there an ATT one year plan?
idunno if att has a one yr plan but i bet if they do, it won't get as reduced as if u got a 2 yr plan

Please suggest me 10 shares good for one year investment plan?

in all seriously just off your time frame, i'd keep your money away from the stock market without knowing anything about you in terms of risk tollerance

if you are aggressive and willing to withstand potential losses that can be associated with the market, look blue chip stocks such as your AT%26amp;T types

otherwise put your money into a CD or something FDIC Insured

you can get lucky short term in the market with the right stock at the right time, but stocks, mutual funds, etc are NOT short term savings vehicles

but if you must i would talk to a financial advisor/consultant/broker type who can talk with you and give you better more personalized choices

I am starting to plan my one year trip around the world, any suggestions, ideas, or destinations?

It really depends if you want to see exotic rural areas or cities. I would definatly recomand Japan- Osaka, Tokyo, Indonesia, Thailand is BEAUTIFUL, London, Brussels. Are you looking for just exploring time? Artsy areas? There are so many options it's rediculous! This is our world we're talking about:) As long as it isn't a dead end country with nothing but poverty. Hey i came from one so no one should go ok?Good luck and have a great time!
I am starting to plan my one year trip around the world, any suggestions, ideas, or destinations?
Go to the Netherlands/Holland/Amsterdam.

You will have a certain idea of the Netherlands, especially if you're American, and I want you to see it for yourself. It will open your eyes if you do it right, and know that we aren't that bad of a country at all, instead of what Bill o'Reilly is telling you (Q:'What's your biggest fear?' A from Bill: 'That we become the Netherlands').
Reply:Check with travel agencies and see what route does the airline provide, how much is it, how many stops they provide.... It will be easier to put your destination in and plan your route.

Is it wrong for me to feel angry because my bf wants me to help plan our one year? ?

Sometimes I just want to be left out of the planning and be surprised...am I just being selfish?
Is it wrong for me to feel angry because my bf wants me to help plan our one year? ?
Nothing wrong with wanting to be surprised. Did you tell him you would prefer a surprise and then he insisted that you help him plan? Or are you angry because he didn't read your mind and know what you wanted without telling him?

If you are angry that he didn't guess what you wanted then be prepared to spend the rest of your life pissed as hell because men can't read our minds.

How about just saying very sweetly, "I'd love it if you would just surprise me." Chances are, he'll be happy to please you if you give him the chance by telling him what you want.
Reply:Haha, thank you. I guess I do forget to actually tell the guy. Report Abuse

Reply:it's fine for u to be angry.... but it is ur one year together. It's not like valentines where he plans all that stuff. @ a time like this it's probably better if u both planned it together. BUT he hsould have something planned ON THE SIDE on that day for you. Thats what I think. Thats where the surprise comes. But I think u should plan ur 1 year with him. I mean... maybe he wants to make sure this special day makes both u and him happy and for him to be happy is for u to be happy dear.
Reply:Sounds like it.

He obviously wants to include you and your desires in the upcoming event. He feels your input is important. This is only year one after all, and he may not have your likes and dislikes totally memorized just yet.

Give him a break. Do you surprise him the same way you want to be surprised? Lead by example.
Reply: Most guys are not into those kinds of things. I hate planning things like this. It bores me to death. I have been married for 18 years. I have to focus on business plans, and execution of those plans. I have to plan presentations and so many other tedious things. Just surprise him.
Reply:yea, im not to good at that either, even if i try to make it a surprise, along the line i ruin it. like i planned an indepent film show and vegan food, and i ruined it by telling her about it.

i guess some guys are just afraid of dissapointing their girls. that is one of my insecurities, i guess. i want it to be great. but doesnt that just show we care more about you girls.. i mean comeon...
Reply:Kind of..maybe he just wants to make sure you will enjoy it..would you rather have the worst night ever b/c he planned things you didnt really care to do or make a plan together and make sure you both will have a great night?
Reply:he just wants your input

and he wants you to be happy

who knows

he might surprise you and change it all

just be happy you have a guy who wants to plan something

for you in the first place

a lot of guys wouldn't at all.
Reply:No, it's not wrong, I completely see where you're coming from.

Just tell him how you feel. Tell him you just want to be surprised and to see what his idea of something special for you both to do is. I'm sure he will understand!
Reply:Unless you have something good planned for him, then yeah your a selfish *****, its not about you alone but both of you together. Why should he do all the work
Reply:yes. the relationship isnt all about you...its about both of you. did you really get angry at the poor guy? he was just trying to be sweet and do something that would make you really happy
Reply:It's nice to be surprised once in a while but it shouldn't make you very mad to have to plan with him.
Reply:If marriage isn't on the horizon after a year, get rid of him.
Reply:maybe he just is afraid of disappointing you.
