i want to get a samsung rant,but i only want a one year plan.i've heard like 4 different prices,but does anyone know for sure?

You can't get a one year contract with almost any carrier, including sprint. With a 2 year contract, you can get the rant for $100 ($50 if you do the mail in rebate) If the contract bugs you, you could get a prepaid phone or a contractless plan from a carrier like cricket (check out the samsung messenger)
