Can taking Plan B three times in one year (or more) hurt me in the future?

No it shouldn't, but it's extremely high doses of birth control, which can stay in your body for several months like the pill can. Why don't u just get on a regular birth control sweetie? I'm not passing judgment, as we all make mistakes, so SCREW all those other negative answers. You can get the pill for free at Planned Parenthood, or if u don't want to mess with pills u can get on the IUD too. I took PLAN B three times in a year once and I still got pregnant 3 months later. u should be ok, but I wouldn't use PLAN B for a while, the high doses really aren't good for you on a continuous basis.

Take care,

There is no report of issues taking it under 5 times in one year, but I would be cautious taking it more than that. It would be better for your body to use condoms or regular birth control. Plan B was never intended to be birth control, it was made as an EMERGENCY conctraceptive.

If you ignore this advice (and the advice of others) it would be important to see your GYN on a regular basis to ensure the Plan B pill isn't causing any side effect.
Reply:I took plan B 2 times when I was alot younger because I wasnt being very smart at all, and I would take to think that this caused and/or contributed to my PCOS and infertility problems right.

be smart and get on birth control or use protection! Plan B is in a way stopping certain hormones in your body that could contribute to periods and pregnancy and can get your body all out of wack!!
Reply:why dont you get on birth control or use condoms or something. plan b isnt supposed to be used as birth control, it is for one time oopsies. i wouldnt take it often like that because it contains hormones and could possibly make your system wacky. Do you really have to have sex that bad without proper protection if you don't want kids?
Reply:You do realize, don't you, that this section is for people trying to conceive, and you are talking about preventing a pregnancy? Some people might take a little offense to it. Your best bet is to go to Planned Parenthood and get some free condoms. Prevent pregnancy that way, instead. Good luck.
Reply:No, but it does say that you need to get yourself some education and better birth control. Plan B is not as effective as regular birth control. I am appalled that you have needed it 3 times.
Reply:well its definitely not a good thing for your body thats for sure Plan B is not meant to be used a contraception its meant to be for one-off accidents
Reply:I don't know about hurting you in the future, but it can't be good.

Be more careful....or stop having sex.
Reply:Your Pre med what do you think ?.... That isn't meant to be used as regular birth control.
Reply:i dont think it'll hurt you in the future but you should be more careful.. :-)
Reply:its called using protection
