i have a family plan . 2 phones . 1 was a 2 year service plan that expired last april 19. i have a treo 650 and want to upgrade to a treo 750. but,,,i want to cancel the number that expired which is the principal number and get the 750 at a discount price with a 2 year plan. i will bring a number from metropcs...with that purchase.....can that be done without being penalized by the company that will sell me the treo 750.
because if i cancell my number there is one number, the secondary one staying....?????

It should not be a problem to port the old number from the old phone to the new phone, provided the phone service is not yet canceled. This is important.
