Does any one know of a Part-D Medicare Plan that does not have a dounut hole for the year 2008 available in Ar

Contrary to the above answer not all companies offer plans with coverage through the donut hole.

There are several plans that cover some generic drugs through the donut hole, but for 2008 none cover brand name drugs. You'll need to analyze the plans' formularies to find the plan that will give you the best coverage. Make sure to get a plan the has your medication in the lowest possible tier. Most generics are a tier one with a $0 to $10 co-pay but if your generic is not a "preferred generic" with a company it will be tier three with a $50 to $90 co-pay. Also, the total cost of the medication is what takes you into the donut hole. The cost that the insurance company pays for any one particular medication is different between companies. Picking a company with the lowest total costs (even if your co-pays may be higher) will keep you out of the donut hole longer.

All of the companies offer a Part D policy that doesn't have the donut hole but they are VERY EXPENSIVE... that is why they offer the other type policy... check the info you got from the company... the policies are all in there
