I am planning to study one year IT certificate course from canada , which tpye of job i can get in canada?

Look for a job that does not require you to know how to spell or write in complete sentences. A burger flipper joint might work out well for you.

Hope this helps.

Seriously… go to school and earn a degree in a different field. I have seen the IT market in Canada as well as here in the US; it’s grim.

I have been a technician/engineer/Helpdesk rep for years and each job gets progressively worse with less and less pay. The IT field is considered “maturing” by analysts and this means most major corporations are now looking to hire new graduates with specialized degrees in the IT fields; certifications are secondary.

Going into the IT field with only certifications to back you up will turn out very, VERY badly for you in the end in this day and age. You’ll have the background and skills necessary to do the job but the employers will use the lack of formal education as an excuse to not promote you into decent positions or to even not hire you after an interview.

The types of jobs you can get pretty much anywhere with one or two certifications would be primarily helpdesk jobs. Welcome to the horrors of tech support if you go this route!

In rare instances you may land a position as a field tech. The hours tend to be long, pay isn’t that much but at least you have some freedom.

Working as a tech for a retailer is also a common position. You get to stand around for 8 hours connecting system after system, following corporate protocol each and every time, never using an ounce of intelligence for the entire day.

I can say this from experience not only working in the IT field, but also being unemployed in the IT field.
