Hello Everyone, i am planning to buy a 2008 Rav4 which already run 33000 in one year. Is it advisable to buy?

This is still under the factory warranty but not much though since the warranty is 3 year/36,000 miles. This already reached 33000 in one year so i have only 3000 miles bumper to bumper and it is was leased by a rental company. Toyota dealer says It is a toyota certified car. Some how i am not feeling comfortable but i like the car and price ($17500). Any one can guide me please....

Reply:Find out from the dealer what exactly "certified" means. Many dealership when the certify cars also provide additional 1 or 2 years warranty. In terms of reliability, Toyota Rav 4 is a very reliable SUV and has been ranked among the top for quality, reliability, and mpg. I am just not sure on the price. Last year I was looking to purchase a new Rav4 and it was around 20K. See if you can negotiate down to 16K.
Reply:Breathe easy...a certified Toyota vehicle is about as good as it gets in the used business. Toyota is always near the top in terms of overall quality, performance, comfort, reliability, resale (depreciation), and owner satisfaction. Buy with confidence. Certified used means it was thoroughly inspected by a factory trained mechanic. They come with an extra 1 yr/12K warranty, usually. Good luck.
Reply:That seems like a lot of miles for a car that is only a year old...Here is an article that might help you understand certified cars a bit more: http://tr.im/mA3q

But if your gut feeling is to not get the car, I'd say follow that. You can always find another car.
Reply:a rav4 with 33k will not give u any trouble.
