Is it ok to get pregnant at the age of 35, I have one kid 2 years and planning for the second?

I weigh just 105 pounds and height is 5 feet.My first kid is born with problem of urine refluxes, will it effect my second kid too.

None of us can answer this question properly. Only you and your spouse, along with input from your physician, can make a decision that is right and healthy for you.
Reply:It is ok to get pregnant at 35, just remember that the older you are the more chances of birth defects. I know some women who are 40 who have normal children and others who are 36 and have downs. It is just the genetic makeup. Your height and weight should play no part in birth defects as long as you don't diet while pregnant. As far as the first child having the urine reflux problems, unless it is a gene you or your husband carries that causes this the chances of your next child having it are slim. My first was born with a heart murmur and my second completely fine. If you are concerned, just talk to your dr and he can give you the reassurance you need. Good luck!!
Reply:have fun making your baby. it is fine to have another baby. they may want to do some extra tests that you did not have before because of your age because you would be right on the line for being "to old" to have a baby but your not to old. the issue of your first child should not effect your second. It's not hereditary as far as I know it was just a defect for lack of better words. My first born was born with her last two toes webbed together by youngest have all separated toes. in my opinion it would be the same thing even though the issues are completely different.

SURE, honey....go right ahead !!! I was almost 39 with my second child...So...it's no problem at all as long as you go for regular check-up's, etc.-





The urine re fluxes is NOT a "hereditary" issue %26amp; may NOT at all affect this baby, so be at ease, honey... If you can afford a second child, have all the necessary "funds" %26amp; right environment around you....go ahead, baby!!!





Just see your GYN regularly, eat healthy, do some exercises %26amp; even such a "Tiny Tim" like you will be a GREAT Mom !!!

Reply:Hello d m! I say go for it... but I really wanted to give you my e-mail address b/c I see that your 2 year old has urine refluxes... I have a 3 year old boy and am pregnant w/a little girl. I'm 28 weeks and had an u/s scan today and the doc. mentioned reflux and said that it appeared that there was urine that had traveled back 'up' and was settled at the bottom of her kidney. Reply:My mom had me at age 44 and now she is 60 yes I am young but i been through a lot... So go ahead and have the baby it'll be fine, be a mother again. ;)

Reply:yah why not! My mom had baby at 36. I was her last and there is 17 years difference between us. And she just had twins at age 42 and they are perfectly healthy.
