Rarely, has this economy suffered so greatly with the exception of the Depression. According to the majority of economic research, the middle and lower classes never fully recovered from the 2001 recession. With stagnant wages and spiraling health care costs, the divide between the have's and have-not's has increased. It appears the economy was collapsing when the Supreme Court chose Bush in 2001. To compound the misery, the never-ending war in Iraq is costing a trillion--borrowed from other countries and to be paid for by generations to come. The real estate crisis that could have and should have been prevented. A fiscal recovery was only smoke and mirrors after all.

Reply:the irony of it is that less than a month ago, we were all hearing how rosey the economy was. Now a few weeks later , all we hear is about a recession and a stimulus package. How does that possibly happen??????

We should have known better when he was reading a book upside down during one of the greatest tragedies in American History. We should have remembered how exusted the nation was after his father was out of office, that Clinton had to repair the damage, and get the country back on it feet, but then we elected another BUSH DESTROYER!





Now "Bush JR." is going to make sure the government never gets out of debt with this new economic plan. The worst part is that all of these people that voted for this plan are smiling on camera because they know how much this will screw the deficit for the rest of time. But they;re all rich, WTF do they have to worry about.





Bush has given us nothing but damage to the American name, brought us to War, just like his dad. Killed thousands of our Sons %26amp; Daughters, and we let him. Helped his former CEO buddies reach record sales margins with oil and gas profits, etc...... to name a few!





I liked Clinton, all he did wrong was screw a few fat chicks! But what he really did that people don't realize is that he got the American government out of debt, and we were ready to hang him up to dry for screwing a few fat chicks and lying about it.





Bush has destroyed our government, economy, and hope of a full recovery within one presidential term. One black man or woman cannot repair all of the damage that retard has done. IT WILL TAKE several years and many presidents to do such a great task as repairing what the Ignorant man has done to this Great Nation.

In June 2002, President Bush issued America's Homeownership Challenge to the real estate and mortgage finance industries to encourage them to join the effort to close the gap that exists between the homeownership rates of minorities and non-minorities. The President also announced the goal of increasing the number of minority homeowners by at least 5.5 million families before the end of the decade. Under his leadership, the overall U.S. homeownership rate in the second quarter of 2004 was at an all time high of 69.2 percent. Minority homeownership set a new record of 51 percent in the second quarter, up 0.2 percentage point from the first quarter and up 2.1 percentage points from a year ago. President Bush's initiative to dismantle the barriers to homeownership includes:


飩?American Dream Downpayment Initiative, which provides down payment assistance to approximately 40,000 low-income families;

We pulled out of the recession, despite 911, and managed to have an incredibly strong economy including very low unemployment, record highs in the stock market and increased revenue.





Now, since we cant maintain record highs and since private companies and individuals created this sub prime housing mess (which has NOTHING to do with the president) the economy is on a downturn. Every economy has to go down if its been going up up up. We arent in a recession. We arent even close to an economic collapse.
